Ponies and horses

Ponies and horses are both equines, a stallion is an equine that stands around 14.2 hands high or more and a horse is an equine that stands under that stamp, give or undertake district; case in point, in Australia the separating line is 14 hands as opposed to 14.2.

That being said, in spite of the fact that the primary qualification between the two is size, size is not by any means the only deciding variable. There are in the ballpark of horse littler than a common horse measure that are not Ponies however horse. For example, breeds, for example, the Falabella horse, which stand no taller than 7.5 hands, are viewed as little horse, not Ponies. Further, Caspian horse very nearly dependably are under 12 hands, yet aren't viewed as Ponies.
